Who we are

A young, fresh beauty start-up from the heart of Hanover that, together with a team of experts, has dedicated itself for months to developing a perfect anti-chafing formula with a lot of enthusiasm and attention to detail.

As everyone knows, our skin is often sensitive and delicate. Friction, dryness, moisture, and UV rays can weaken the protective barrier of our skin cells. We're delighted and proud to put an end to the wait and present our SUMMERSAVER Anti-Chafing Stick. From now on, it's goodbye to chafing and rubbing!

My story

"I can still remember the pain clearly. It feels like it was just yesterday. Thank God those days are over now, thanks to Summersaver!" During a 2019 vacation in Mexico, I rubbed my inner thighs so raw on the way to the beach that wearing my dresses and skirts was no longer an option. I couldn't walk normally without covering my chafed skin with clothing.

While on vacation, I researched remedies that could help with chafing, but couldn't find a satisfactory solution. That's when the idea for Summersaver was born: an anti-chafing stick that effectively protects sensitive skin from chafing.

Our Mission

Nobody talks about it, but everyone knows about it. We have made it our mission to solve the widespread problem of chafing and sore spots effectively and comfortably. Our aim was not to develop just any product, but the perfect companion for your everyday life. Our stick should give you more freedom every day, be it on your next city trip, beach vacation or in the gym.

Everything tested by myself

We spared no effort to test the first recipes intensively for you, even if that meant putting on a dress at -2 degrees and visiting the monkey house at Hanover Zoo. How else would we expose the anti-chafing stick to tropical climatic conditions in spring? When our recipe withstood the Mediterranean heat and an extensive city trip with countless steps in Málaga - we knew it was time to produce this miracle balm for you.

OUR STORY

2019

The idea arises: On vacation in Mexico, our founder Denise Hahn experienced firsthand how much chafing can limit one's quality of life. A personal pain point gave birth to a vision: a product that would restore women's sense of carefreeness in the summer.

2020

The first SUMMERSAVER: The idea becomes reality: A dermatologically tested, skin-friendly anti-chafing stick in a practical handbag format – effective, nourishing, and stylish. SUMMERSAVER is launched.

2021

The big breakthrough: "The Lion's Den." SUMMERSAVER impresses on Germany's most famous startup show. With Ralf Dümmel as partner, the brand takes off – nationally in retail, in the media, and in public awareness. Demand explodes – and trust in the brand grows rapidly.

2023

Market leader in the DACH region: Over 1 million products sold, 52 distribution partners, and more than 8,000 points of sale: SUMMERSAVER is the market leader in skin protection against chafing. Highlight: The limited edition featuring curvy model Angelina Kirsch – a statement for body positivity and female empowerment.

2025

A new era of leg care begins: The House of Legs by SUMMERSAVER ushers in a new chapter in holistic body care – developed for women who want to feel completely comfortable in their own skin again.
